Qotzuñi - People of the Lake

The Uru Murato communities of Lake Poopó have, because of climate change and mining in the Bolivian Altiplano, lost the very lake that defined their subsistence, livelihoods, and culture. This project seeks to document the Uru community's environmental and cultural challenges through short film, long-form articles, and photo essays, to raise global climate change awareness, while giving a voice and visibility to the Uru nation themselves.
