BBC, DR & SVT Now on Board as Broadcast Partners for Upcoming Why Freedom? Campaign
BBC (UK), DR (Denmark) and SVT (Sweden) have now officially come on board as broadcast partners of our 6th global documentary campaign. They join 60+ other broadcasters and media outlets that are expected to air the campaign, which will launch in early 2026.
The five-part series of documentaries will feature groundbreaking stories from Myanmar, the U.S.A, India, Ukraine and Bolivia, and we are very excited to start sharing more information about the films soon.
We are now in the production phase of the project, working with local filmmakers to shape and create the stories that will set the agenda on our understanding of modern day freedom - or lack thereof.
Together with five extraordinary local filmmakers, we will investigate what freedom means around the world right now - freedom from poverty, freedom from fear, freedom to think, speak, choose and live.
After months of meetings, project development, contract negotiations and so one, we’re happy and proud to finally announce that five projects will be a part of our upcoming campaign. Furthermore, we’re more than excited to share that DR, SVT, and BBC have already committed to WHY FREEDOM?. We are very excited for the campaign and the films to meet the world! - Mathilde Kirstein, Line Producer
